Sony Michel has provided a big boost for Patriots

ATLANTA _ Patriots rookie running back Sony Michel will see many familiar faces when he plays in his first Super Bowl on Sunday, including someone very close to him on the other side of the field.

Michel was a teammate of Rams running back Todd Gurley for one season at the University of Georgia. The way Gurley remembers it, he taught Michel how to run and catch _ basically everything he knows. Michel said "he did" and that he's excited they both are experiencing their first Super Bowl together.

"It's special just to be able to be here at the Super Bowl," Michel said. "It's pretty cool to see him reach this game. He's been in the league longer than me, trying to make it to the Super Bowl and it's pretty cool to see him reach that goal."
