Sonic Adventure 2 was one of the first games I remember watching my sibling play, mostly because they would often fight about who gets a turn next while I just sat there, not really knowing what was going on. But I really liked the characters, and that feeling stuck around long after I started playing Sonic games for myself. It didn't take long for me to realise that merchandise for the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise was dominated by the titular blue flash. Which is fair enough—it is named after him—but you'd think after this many years we'd see a little more merch for the wide variety of other characters.
Welcome to Character Select, a weekly column where PC Gamer takes a look at the art and cosplay created by you. Each week, I'll highlight a few of my favourite pieces, spotlight and interview creators and artists, or generally just chew your ear off about the talents of the gaming community.
