Sonic the Hedgehog 3 director Jeff Fowler has confirmed that filming for the highly anticipated movie has officially wrapped. The movie is based on SEGA’s popular video game franchise, with Fowler previously bringing the iconic character to life in the successful 2020 film, Sonic the Hedgehog. The first movie grossed over $319 million worldwide, paving the way for sequels and a spinoff television series featuring Idris Elba's character Knuckles from Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
Fowler took to Twitter to share a behind-the-scenes image confirming the conclusion of filming for Sonic the Hedgehog 3. The image featured a clapperboard with the character Shadow, who was teased in the post-credits scene of Sonic the Hedgehog 2. This announcement follows James Marsden's confirmation that principal photography has wrapped.
