The son of the Masked Singer's Cat and Mouse has shared a hilarious reaction to learning of their true identity. The duo, the first in the competition, failed to impress as much as some of the other competitors and so had to unveil their disguises and unveil themselves as none other than husband and wife Spandau Ballet's Martin Kemp and Wham! star Shirley - in what panel member Davina called the "best reveal ever".
In their clues, the duo referenced everything from garlic, EastEnders, and cat being both a judge and a detective but nothing that led the judges to their true identity as they performed Get Happy by Judy Garland, and later There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back by Shawn Mednes.
Baffled as to who they could be, Davina went down a vampiric route as she guessed Buffy's Sarah Michelle Geller and Anthony Head, while Rita speculated whether it could be David Walliams and Amanda Holden. Mo's guess went to Danny Dyer and daughter Dani Dyer, while Jonathan pondered if it could be Masie Smith and Adam Woodyatt.

Nothing however could prepare them for the truth, in what Davina McCall called the "best reveal ever". Showing their faces for the first time, Martin and Shirley joked they had done it all to embarass their son Roman, who is a radio host for Capital FM. Shirley, who revealed that her black and white mouse outfit referenced her book called 'It's all in Black and White', added: "I've never done anything so nerve wracking in my life."
And it seems Roman himself was none the wiser as he shared his reaction on Twitter. In a series of Tweets he raged: "ARE YOU F****G JOKING #MaskedSingerUK", and then followed with "I JUST SHOUTED THE PHRASE “TAKE IT OFF” TO MY PARENTS I CANT UNDO THAT #MaskedSingerUK"
Sharing a clip of the moment they revealed their true identities, he finished with: "That’s enough internet for today…"
Just like the judges, many fans admitted they never would have guessed the duo's true idenity. Posting on Twitter, one viewer said: "No way Martin and Shirley didn’t expect that", while another said: "No way would not have guessed that in a million years.. great performance from the Kemps."
A third reacted: "One of my favourite ever reveals" and another joked: "The next best thing would be to see Martin and Roman watching Martin and Shirlie on #themaskedsingeruk on #Gogglebox."
