Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min is "preparing" a move away from the club for the next step in his career, according to recent reports. The South Korean international has impressed over recent years in North London, though he has had a slow start to the current campaign.
Last season was perhaps Son's best yet, winning the Premier League Golden Boot with 23 goals - the joint-most with Liverpool star winger Mohamed Salah. In stark contrast, the 30-year-old scored just three goals in the early phase of the campaign, all of which came against Leicester in a blistering cameo from the bench.
"You know very well we're talking about a really, really important player for me and for the club," Antonio Conte said on the forward earlier this season. "I think Sonny, in the last three games, had chances to score, but there's a moment where you're a bit lucky or a bit unlucky. I'm sure when he goes to score, he will gain the right confidence."

Son has enjoyed a successful seven years with the Lilywhites until this point, with last summer marking another contract extension until 2025. However, according to reports from German news outlet Sport1, the striker is now looking to make the switch away from the club despite his new contract.
The report claims that he is "preparing" the next steps, claiming the likes of PSG, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid could look to take him on. They add that the latter are particularly keen, with boss Carlo Ancelotti monitoring a potential switch for the South Korean star to the Bernabeu.
However, Tottenham are known to be tough negotiators, such as their stance to keep Harry Kane last summer despite the interest from Manchester City, which was followed by a very public saga. The England captain ended up staying, though time is dwindling on his contract.
As for Son, with his deal still having plenty of years left, it remains to be seen exactly what stance Spurs will take, though it will likely be a tough exit if there is one.
