Police are investigating a “senseless” break-in at a Welsh heritage centre in which a front door was smashed and a collection box was stolen.
The incident occurred overnight earlier this week at the Pembroke Dock Heritage Centre in Pembrokeshire. The venue is an independent museum and heritage centre which opened in 2014, and is run by the charity Pembroke Dock Heritage Trust.
During the early hours of Wednesday morning someone smashed the glass on the front entrance and made their way inside before taking a plastic collection box. It’s not known how much money was in the collection box at the time of the theft, but it was later found discarded in a nearby alleyway.
