There was no love lost between Merseyside rivals Conor Coady and Trent Alexander-Arnold in England training earlier today after the Everton man beat his defensive teammate in a jumping drill.
Domestic rivalries have been put on hold for the time being as the Three Lions embark on their 2022 World Cup campaign in Qatar. Gareth Southgate's side got off to a flying start with a 6-2 win against Iran on Monday, and spirits within the camp at Al Wakrah are high.
Proof of the good mood was clear when England's YouTube channel shared today's Inside Training video, with Coady and Alexander-Arnold competing with the likes of Marcus Rashford, Phil Foden and Kalvin Phillips in a jumping drill. The players dropped a short distance before rebounding back up and onto a box in the quickest time possible.

With Coady leading the way going into the final round, his club rival looked to have nicked it at the end with a new best score and celebrated early with a Cristiano Ronaldo 'siuuu!'. But the Everton man came back to win it with the final jump of them all - much to Alexander-Arnold's disbelief.
Coady mocked his compatriot's early celebrations before shaking his hand and joking: "thanks for coming".
To which Alexander-Arnold replied: "This fellas got some lip on him you know."
Neither Coady nor Alexander-Arnold got themselves on the pitch at the Khalifa International Stadium on Monday, but with a congested tournament squeezing three group games into eight days, both will likely have some part to play.
Fellow Red Jordan Henderson also watched the 90 minutes from the sidelines, with Jordan Pickford the only representative of Merseyside featuring in the commanding win.
England face the USA on Friday evening before finishing their group stage against Wales on Tuesday.
