The Scottish Government has announced anyone whose Carer's Allowance award has been backdated to include October 11, 2021 should receive an extra payment that was given to more than 90,000 claimants in December, before the summer.
Which means if you did not receive the £462.80 Carer's Allowance Supplement payment in December, and your claim has been backdated, you should get it in June.
Carer's Allowance Supplement is paid twice a year to people living in Scotland who receive Carer's Allowance from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). You do need to apply for it as it is paid automatically to those receiving Carer's Allowance.
