SNP to seek to recoup cash embezzled by former chief executive Murrell

The SNP will seek to recoup the money embezzled by Peter Murrell, its ruling body decided on Wednesday.

The party’s national executive committee (NEC) agreed to launch a compensation order in a bid to receive the more than £400,000 in funds the former chief executive admitted last week to using on a raft of personal purchases.
