SNP MP left fuming after missing out on Taylor Swift tickets

AN SNP MP was left fuming after missing out on Taylor Swift tickets due to a Ticketmaster “error”.

Gavin Newlands was one of thousands of fans queuing up online today for the pre-sale ticket launch for Swift's The Eras Tour, looking to snap up a chance to see her at one of her 2024 shows in London or Edinburgh.

The MP for Paisley and Renfrewshire North’s daughter is apparently a “massive massive fan” and Newlands got in early on online website Ticketmaster but Newlands was left disappointed after the site “kicked me out with an error”.

After rejoining the queue, he was much further back.

Newlands tweeted: “That was great @TicketmasterUK, got in to buy #TaylorSwift tickets for my daughter, a massive massive fan, and just as I got in, you kicked me out with an error.

“Now back in queue at 18000 odd, with no chance of a ticket. Super. #presale #TaylorSwiftErasTour”

It appears as though Newlands narrowly missed out, as he later tweeted: “Shocked to discover that there were no tickets left when we got back in.”

Ticketmaster – which has been accused of being a monopoly by the United States Senate – was forced to apologise to Taylor Swift and her fans in January after its system was overwhelmed by demand for her Eras Tour in the US.
