SNP members have voted overwhelmingly to support a conference motion urging the party to develop "clear, accessible, evidence-based resources” addressing key questions about Scottish independence.
The resolution drew attention as it was the only one on the SNP conference agenda to deal with the party’s independence strategy. Other motions on the issue were not selected for debate, leading a grassroots rebel group named “Independence” to be set up to pressure the party to move faster.
