Forecasters have warned up to 10cm of snow could fall amid fears of strong blizzards in Scotland next week.
The Met Office today issued a yellow weather warning covering the north of the country on Wednesday, when temperatures are expected to plummet.
Experts say they expect between 2cm and 5cm of snow to settle in lower areas, which could rise to 10cm at higher levels. Combined with strong northerly winds and blizzard conditions, it could cause travel chaos.
