Snow warnings issued across Scotland as Edinburgh to be hit with snowfall next week

Weather forecasters have issued a yellow weather warning as up to 10cm of snow could fall amid fears of strong blizzards in Scotland next week.

Though the warning stops short of Edinburgh, with the closest blizzard predicted for Fife, the city is not being let off that easily with snow predicted over the weekend and on Monday next week.

Forecasts on the BBC predict snow from Monday December 12, with weather.com warning of the white stuff as early as Thursday.
