The weather has taken a turn for the worst in Merseyside as flakes of snow were spotted falling today.
Last week, Merseyside bathed in temperatures of 20°C as people headed to Formby Beach and Liverpool's Pier Head to make the most of the warm weather.
But just days later, the sunny skies have made way for wintry showers, with snow reported in Huyton, St Michael's and other areas in the region. Commenting about the turn in the weather, many took to Twitter to express their disgruntlement with the changing forecast.

Tomorrow will be a cold day with early outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow during the morning. It will then be bright across much of the UK with spells of sunshine and scattered wintry showers bringing a threat of snow.
Daytime showers will soon ease and clear during the evening to reveal clear skies. Overnight will then be dry with long clear spells however there is a continued threat of wintry showers.
But Friday will bring a mixture of sunny spells and scattered showers, some wintry in nature. Met Office Deputy Chief Meteorologist Helen Caughey said, “Cold and unsettled weather takes charge over much of the UK this week, as cold air is drawn in from the north, bringing with it the risk of rain, sleet and snow, and a widespread drop in temperatures."
