People who snore could be entitled to an additional £156 a week from the Government.
Snoring can be frustrating for many, but for some it can be a serious condition. According to the NHS, snoring is very common and is not usually caused by anything serious, but in some cases it can be caused by a condition like sleep apnoea.
Sleep apnoea is when your airways become temporarily blocked as you sleep, meaning you could stop breathing. The most common type is called obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA).

The condition is linked to obesity, having a large neck, getting older, other family members having the condition, smoking, alcohol, having large tonsils and sleeping on your back. Symptoms mainly happen while you sleep but can see you stop breathing, waking up a lot, making choking noises or loud snoring.
You may also feel very tired during the day, find it hard to concentrate and have mood swings. More information can be found online here.
But according to KentLive, there are currently 2,217 people across the UK claiming support through Personal Independence Payment for sleep apnoea and conditions of the upper respiratory tract. In England alone there are around 1,850 claimants.
