Snoop Dogg and Keith Urban have teamed up for an unexpected collaboration on the lead single for the upcoming movie soundtrack of 'The Garfield Movie.' Despite their seemingly different musical backgrounds, Snoop Dogg has established country connections over the years, having worked with artists like Willie Nelson, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Brad Paisley. He has even performed at the CMT Awards, showcasing his versatility as an artist.
The single, titled 'Let It Roll,' is set to be released on April 12, with the full soundtrack following on May 17. The album, which will be released via ASG Records and Republic Records: Kids & Family, features a diverse lineup of artists and tracks. In addition to the collaboration between Keith Urban and Snoop Dogg, the soundtrack includes original compositions by Jon Batiste and contributions from artists like Calum Scott and Granville featuring Will Champlin.
The soundtrack also pays homage to classics, with tracks from Marvin Gaye and Dean Martin making an appearance. Academy Award-nominated composer John Debney has contributed three tracks to the album, adding a touch of cinematic flair to the collection.
The film, produced by Alcon Entertainment and Columbia Pictures, is set to hit theaters on May 24, a week after the soundtrack release. With a mix of new original compositions and beloved classics, the soundtrack promises to enhance the movie experience for audiences of all ages.
