THEY SAID IT: "A beautiful chip by Holly Caspers." - Former Matildas star Rhali Dobson in Paramount commentary on the goal that gave Western Sydney an upset 1-0 win over competition leaders Melbourne Victory.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK:  Central Coast 17-year-old starlet Peta Trimis looked like a future Matilda in a starring role in her side's upset win against Wellington. The teen scored the winning goal with the composure of a player much her senior, and could have jagged a number of assists with some silky passing in the final third.

KEY STAT: Canberra legend Michelle Heyman became the first player in competition history to reach 100 league goals. Considering next best is Matildas star Sam Kerr on 70, this magical mark might stand for quite some time.

BEAT THAT: Vesna Milivojević has emerged as one of the competition's most exciting players, and the Canberra midfielder's dazzling strike to seal their 3-1 win against Adelaide was something special. It also took her back to the top of the league's goal-scoring chart.

TALKING POINT: The form of Western Sydney Wanderers goalkeeper Kaylie Collins has been of the highest quality. Collins kept her third clean sheet in a row in the win over Melbourne City. It is no coincidence the Wanderers won all three of those games and are now fourth on the ladder.

UNDER PRESSURE: What's going wrong at Melbourne Victory? Jeff Hopkins' outfit were fancied in the pre-season, but they haven't won in four games after stumbling to a 1-1 draw with Perth. They have slid down the ladder to eighth and continue to struggle find the back of the net. A major lift is needed to have an impact this campaign.

WHAT'S NEXT: Sydney and Central Coast don't have long before they're back in action, meeting in a catch-up game on Wednesday night. Competition leaders Melbourne City take part in the pick of the weekend's fixtures against Wellington, while Melbourne Victory will look to snap their winless run against 11th placed Canberra. Perth head back home to face Brisbane and Western United will host Adelaide, before Sydney and the Mariners complete their double-duty against Newcastle and Western Sydney respectively.
