Snack lover finds 'world's longest Hula Hoop' and it's on eBay for £100,000,000

Adam Potter, a 28-year-old from Birmingham, found a Hula Hoops crisp that measures almost five inches in his packet.

He's put it up for sale on eBay and has already gathered more than 100 bids at the time of writing. It's unclear how many of these are expected to come through, however, with the current bid estimated at an unbelievable £100,000,000.

Mr Potter found the 4.72-inch crisp while enjoying a packet of the salt and vinegar crisps. He immediately put it in an airtight container with the plan to see it online, admittedly partly for a joke.

"I did it as a bit of a laugh, to be honest – who is going to buy a Hula Hoop?" Adam told the Mirror. "But then I saw one sold for £712 and I thought I would be daft not to put it on there.

"Hopefully something good comes of it, with the money I will put it into my small business. I am hoping it will be a nice little cash injection."

Potter's unusually long crisp was within a Big Hoops packet that he bought on December 19.

"I was having a break while I was baking some chocolate concrete, I opened the packet and was confused," he remembers. "It really threw me for the day, I ran upstairs to tell my wife but she was in a meeting – I had to hold my excitement but she was well amazed.

"I have contacted KP Snacks and said they should bring them out and call them Hula Tubes. They would be perfect for dipping."

Potter put the Hula Hoop up for sale on eBay on Monday, January 8, and it has already shot up in price in the first few days.

Bidding ends in four days, with 103 bids at the time of writing.
