Smirking Vaclav Cerny reacts to Celtic vs Rangers celebration outrage

Vaclav Cerny couldn't help but smirk after causing chaos with his celebration against Celtic.

The Rangers winger squirted water at Celtic supporters after Hamza Igamane lashed home a winner for the Ibrox side in the dying minutes of the derby tie.

After the Moroccan scored the winner, Rangers subs raced up the touchline to celebrate with the 2,400 travelling supporters inside Celtic Park.

On his way out of the dugout to join his team-mates, Cerny sprayed water from his water bottle at fans seated in the home end.

The act prompted furious reactions from those in the stands with police and stewards having to step in and create a human barrier between supporters and Rangers backroom staff and substitutes.

Sky Sports commentator Ian Crocker said: "There's been a problem down by the Rangers dugout."

Footage showed angry Celtic supporters shouting towards the Rangers bench before Cerny was spotted smiling over the fallout.

Quizzed on the incident, Ferguson said: "I was concentrating on making sure I came up with a formation to see the game out.

"I didn't know who went on, I'm just glad I wasn't involved!

"I have got to try and focus on my team and that is what I was doing."
