Riyan show continues for Assam: Captain Riyan Parag starred with another all-round performance as Assam notched back-to-back wins, after losing the opener, in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy at BKC Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday.

Electing to bat first, Services could score only 124 as Assam off-spinning duo of Sourav Dey and Riyan snared seven wickets between them with Dey taking four. In reply, opener Rishav Das gave Assam a solid start despite two losing two early wickets. But Riyan (76* off 37, eight fours and five sixes) joined forces with Das to finish off the chase with 44 balls remaining.

Odisha come back to winning ways: Tasting their first loss in the last game, Odisha came back to winning ways on Thursday as they defeated Sikkim by a huge margin of 104 runs at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. This was Odisha’s second victory in three matches so far in Group D.

Elected to bat first, opener Sandeep Pattnaik (71* off 45 balls) and impact player Prayash Singh’s (75 off 34) 121-run stand for the fourth wicket took Odisha to 210 for five wickets.
