A 16-year career has led Brandan Davies to function with one defining expectation. "People come to us when they're basically having the worst day of their lives. Davies grew up in a small town in southwest Missouri. The ambition to practice law took hold early. "Since I was a little kid, I thought it would be a job where you could make a good living and help people at the same time," he says. "There's satisfaction in being the person someone turns to when everything feels like it's coming apart."
