A sleep expert has warned Brits not to drink alcohol on long flights. That is even if it is included in the price of the journey.
Many of us enjoy sinking a pint or two while at the airport or even when soaring through the skies on the plane. But, Martin Seeley, the CEO and sleep expert at MattressNextDay, says it’s best to avoid having a tipple as it could affect whether you manage to get any kip while on board.
If you want to be able to fall asleep while on the plane so that you can avoid jet lag or arrive fresh for a day of sightseeing he recommends drinking water instead, reports the Daily Star. While there are plenty of great hacks for sleeping in economy, avoiding booze could actually leave you feeling jet lagged before you've even landed.
