In a video introducing Sleater-Kinney’s last album, 2021’s “Path of Wellness,” the duo of Carrie Brownstein and Corin Tucker ask a psychic if they’ll ever record another album. She initially says yes, then changes her answer to “That’s really up in the air.”
At different moments in time, both answers could be viewed as correct. Sleater-Kinney is always writing, and their 10th studio album (their second since the departure of drummer Janet Weiss) is the result of many conflicting ideas.
