Venues NSW Acting Chair Rod McGeogh agreed with Minns’ statements, telling 2GB that the six-concert limit at Allianz Stadium has a pretty big impact on the arts industry.
“This current cap is a restriction on the sort of business we could be doing at Moore Park,” he said. “We don’t have a roofed stadium with a significant capacity. “I want Beyoncé here.” I know it feels like this entire story revolves around Beyoncé but there’s a good reason for it. Bey is an artist that pulls a massive crowd, and there’s a good chance she’ll be looking to bring her huge Renaissance tour to Sydney in late 2023 / early 2024. On top of this, an artist like her would probably want to do more than one show while here, so why shut her out of one of our biggest stadiums? Bring Bey to Sydney!
