Computers and laptops in Edinburgh and around the UK have gone silent as hundreds of people are reporting that Slack is down.
Slack is the collaboration platform for teams often used in work places and became the main platform for office conversations during the pandemic. As many still work from home and utilise a hybrid way of working, Slack is still very much ingrained in the 9-5.
However, as of Tuesday July 26, from around 1.30pm, many people were reporting issues with the site and app and as of 1.50, 1,057 have reported an issue on Down Detector.

Amongst other cities around the UK, Edinburgh is having major issues with the platform as highlighted by the map on Down Detector. 47 per cent of people have had issues with the app, 45 per cent can't send messages but just eight per cent is having an issue with the website itself.
Some frustrated users took to social media to mark the outage.
One tweeted: "Slack is down, can we call a day off?"
Another joked: "Microsoft Teams only purpose is to replace Slack when Slack is down."
"In the span of five mins I've twice gone to post "Is Slack Down?" in Slack," another said.
More on this breaking story as we get it.
