Liverpool have rejoined the race to sign Leeds United winger Raphinha amid speculation of a summer move. The Reds are becoming increasingly resigned to the likelihood that Sadio Mane will leave for Bayern Munich and are moving back into the market to find a marquee replacement, eyeing the Whites’ winger as a realistic option.
Jurgen Klopp is understood to be happy to use Takumi Minamino as leverage in a player-plus-cash deal, with the Japanese international out of favour at Anfield. Minamino has been linked with a move to Elland Road before and worked with Jesse Marsch at RB Salzburg, before moving to Liverpool in 2020.
The right move could benefit all parties, with those in charge at Elland Road open in their understanding that the Brazilian will move on to European football in the near future. But they have set their stand out with a £60-70 million price tag and no consideration for instalments.

And with the rumour quickly gathering pace, both Leeds and Liverpool fans have had their say.
@ZEUSmot tweeted: Raphinha to Liverpool to replace Mane is a scary thought because I could actually see it happening
@Sbox02 said: don't want him to go but Liverpool fans should be wanting this lad as a replacement for Salah, Raphinha, Jota and Diaz in a front 3 sounds lethal. earlier on in the season he was practically carrying our team so if he had world class players around him the sky is the limit.
@EndreManMusic said: If Raphinha played for Liverpool people would say he was worth £100mil. Our position in the league made Barca think we'd roll over for pennies. #Lufc
From the Liverpool side, @denzzlfc tweeted: 50m for Raphinha and he can play false 9 or on the wing I would definitely take that deal
While @TheKopEnd0619 added: I've always liked the idea of Raphinha because he is left footed so ideal cover for Mo if anything was to happen, but I really don't like the idea of Mo down the middle. Rather a Nunez or Tammy. A physical presence.
