If you are trying and failing to access Sky Mobile services you are not alone. The popular UK network is currently down and not working with the gremlins beginning at around 2.30pm.
It appears users can't access key features including making calls and sending texts with the outage affecting many parts of the UK including London, Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and Leeds.
According to Down Detector, which monitors tech outages across the globe, thousands have been hit by the glitch with the problems still ongoing. At its peak, some 1,200 reports were being recorded which makes this a serious problem.
Along with mentions on Down Detector, many Sky Mobile users have also headed to social media to complain about the outage. Sky Mobile user Rachel, tweeted, "Why is the mobile constantly going down? I've been a Sky mobile customer for years and these past few months it's been shocking. My whole family is sky mobile and I can't use any of it. no calls txt or data."
And another customer named Sam added, "Sky mobile has gone down, again! Couldn't make or receive calls earlier, now texts won't go either."
Sky has since responded to customer complaints with the network saying: "Our teams are working very hard to restore services as quickly as possible and we'll keep you updated. Any loss of service can be discussed once the issue has been resolved."
There's currently no word on when things will be fixed but we will update this article when we hear more. It's worth remembering that Sky is a virtual network that uses O2 technology so the issue could be complicated to sort.
