Sky has launched its cheapest price yet on its Sky Stream, Netflix and Superfast Broadband package offering a saving of more than £300.
Sky Stream gives customers the perks of a full TV line-up without having to have a satellite dish as everything can be accessed from the Stream Box. Users can also watch live television, boxsets, and sports in areas with a low TV signal.
This April the provider has slashed the price from an original £43 a month to £39 for 18 months in a saving worth £4 a month (or £72 across the whole plan). It may seem like a small discount but customers who buy the deal will save £324 in total compared to those who buy the features separately.
The now £39 a month package includes Sky's Entertainment and Netflix bundle (with access to 150 channels) and Sky's Superfast Broadband, with download speeds of 59Mb/s. Which works out a lot cheaper than buying the two bundles separately.
On its own the Sky Stream Entertainment and Netflix bundle costs £26 a month, and its Superfast Broadband deal starts from £28, which together comes to £54 a month for the same features. Costing the average user £18 extra a month, or £324 over the course of an 18 month plan.
Also included in the deal is a basic Netflix plan for one device, but extra devices can be added to the package for an additional cost. The Netflix standard plan (for two devices) costs an extra £4 and the Netflix Premium costs an extra £8 (for four devices). Despite the extra charges for the additional device accounts, it still works out as a cheaper way to use Netflix.
A Netflix Premium account bought directly through the UK site currently costs £15.99 as opposed to Sky's £8 price. There's also a small saving on the Standard plan, which costs 10.99 on Netflix compared to the £4 additional charge on the Sky Stream bundle.
Customers should be aware that there is an additional £39.95 set-up fee on the package, which brings the total price to £741.95 over the course of the total 18 months.
