Sky has issued a warning to its customers that a charge will be implemented if they intend on skipping adverts.
The media giant announced the new charge last year, with some televisions receiving the update from November 29. It means that an extra £5 will be added to bills for fast forwarding through live channels such as ITV, Sky Atlantic, Sky Max, Channel 4, Channel 5, and MTV.
Those affected by the new charge (and ar outside their initial contract term) can look at better Sky deals and renegotiate a new Sky Glass or Sky Stream deal that won't include the £5 extra cost. For example, if you already have Sky Q in your home, then you'll still be able to skip ads without any extra fees, the Express reports.
