Just in time for the school break during Songkran, young holidaymakers on Emirates flights have more to celebrate with a new collection of playful amenities made from sustainable materials. The fun extras are suitable for babies and infants as well as children up to 12 years old, and all are designed to be reusable.

Each kit is certified for safety by Intertek, in accordance with EN71 and Gulf toy safety standards, and new versions will be released annually for regular customers and collectors. The colourful bags have hand-drawn artwork depicting the people, places and cultures that Emirates airline serves across its global route network of 140 destinations.

Included in baby and infant kits are a reusable changing pad, nappy cream and cleaning wipes, keepsake wipe-clean bib, calming vibrating plush toy that can be attached to a seatback or pram, and collectible blanket buddies. A soft blanket and an Emirates character soft toy that represents a pilot or cabin crew are also provided to ensure a restful night's sleep.

Children aged three to six get a fun-time upgrade with fashionable belt bags, roomy backpacks or large duffle bags that can be used for several activities. With appropriate headphones, they can also take advantage of exciting in-flight entertainment. The amenity kit further includes great ways to keep restless young children occupied such as a "Fly With Me" activity pack containing kid-friendly world maps, puzzles, drawing instructions, colouring pages, and activities about Dubai and environmental protection. It also comes with a set of non-toxic colouring pencils.

To encourage a love of travel and exploration, the airline provides children between the ages of seven and 12 with reusable belt bags, and either larger backpacks or generous duffle bags featuring subtle graphics and emblems of Dubai, Emirates aircraft, cabin crew and pilots as well as iconic landmarks from around the world.

Emirates cabin crew will use an instant Polaroid camera to record memorable moments during flight and present kids with a limited-edition photo frame as a memento of their travels.

Also making travel easier for parents with small children are bookable bassinets for infants under the age of two so they can nap in safety and comfort, as well as baby changing tables in all restrooms. On request, organic baby bottles, milk formula and baby food are likewise available.

For in-flight dining, kids enjoy nuggets, spaghetti, tiny burgers, pizza, nutritious snacks, sweet treats, and juice and water. The meals are served on a colourful tray bearing images of Emirates' Little Travellers collection.
