'Sky Force' box office bollection Day 17: Akshay Kumar starrer crosses Rs 110 crore mark at end of third weekend

Akshay Kumar’s latest action thriller 'Sky Force' has continued its strong box office run, as it completed its third weekend at the ticket windows.

The film reportedly crossed the Rs 110 crore mark by the end of its third weekend, according to early estimates. The film, which opened to promising numbers, garnered an estimated Rs 86.5 crore in its first week alone.

In its second week, Sky Force became the first Bollywood release of the year to surpass Rs 100 crore, adding approximately Rs 19.05 crore to its total collection. However, the film experienced a slow start to its third weekend, earning around Rs 80 lakh on Friday. Collections saw an upward trend on Saturday with Rs 1.6 crore, followed by an estimated Rs 1.85 crore on Sunday, bringing the third weekend total to Rs 4.25 crore, according to early estimates.

This weekend, Sky Force faced stiff competition from new releases like Badass Ravikumar and Loveyapa. The action-packed Badass Ravikumar led the new releases, collecting Rs 6.15 crore, while the Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor starrer Loveyapa earned an estimated Rs 4.45 crore.

However, the biggest box office winners of the weekend were Sanam Teri Kasam and Interstellar. Both films, re-released in cinemas, drew major audiences, impacting other releases. The Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane-led Sanam Teri Kasam raked in an impressive Rs 15.50 crore, while Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar collected an estimated Rs 9 crore.

Despite the competition, Sky Force continues its steady performance at the box office. The film will have one week to rake in the big bucks before it faces added competition at the box office this Valentines' weekend with the release of Chhaava and Captain America: Brave New World.
