A savvy shopper has revealed how he got £360 off his annual Sky bill in just 10 minutes, amid advice from the MoneySavingExpert team whose research found that haggling worked for two-thirds of those who tried it.
One Sky customer claimed to have had a great success story. The viewer, named Dennis, said his contract with Sky had just expired and he found that he was going to be charged £109.50 per month upon renewal. Concerned about the cost, he contacted Sky and negotiated the price down. He told MoneySavingExpert: "My Sky contract had expired and gone up to £109.50/month, so I phoned up to challenge the increase.
"Now my bill is £79.50/month for the next 18 months. Absolutely worth doing as the call was answered quickly and it was all sorted within 10 minutes. Thanks MSE for reminding me to haggle."
