Sky confirms Saturday Night Live UK’s future after major launch

Sky United Kingdom

Sky has confirmed that the UK version of Saturday Night Live will return for an extended second season, following its successful debut run.
The new season will comprise 12 episodes and is scheduled to air from autumn into early 2027.
Despite a dip in traditional viewership after a strong start, the show has achieved significant success on social media, with clips garnering over 86 million views.
Lorne Michaels, the producer behind the SNL franchise, praised the UK adaptation, noting it "keeps getting better every week."
Comedian Nick Mohammed lauded the show as a major positive development for British comedy, comparing its impact to that of The Office.
