Sky Sports were forced to apologise after a heated exchange between England captain Jos Buttler and South Africa batter Rassie van der Dussen, which culminated when Van der Dussen appeared to swear at Buttler.
After Van der Dussen failed to pick a googly from Adil Rashid, he inside edged the ball onto his pad and up into the air. As Buttler attempted to take the catch, Van der Dussen got in his way as he looked to see where the ball had gone.
After Buttler ran into him, Van der Dussen made a comment which was not picked up on the stump mic and Buttler pushed him. "I'm trying to get to the ball," Buttler said.
"What's your problem Rassie? It's not all about you all the time." Van der Dussen then replied: "No, it's about you."
"I'm allowed to try and catch the ball," added Buttler. "What do you want me to do?" At this point the umpires intervened, with one of them shouting: "Okay, calm down!"
The exchanged then ended with Van der Dussen appearing to swear at Buttler, prompting Sky Sports presenter Ian Ward to issue an apology a few overs later.
Buttler and Van der Dussen were teammates at IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals last year and when Van der Dussen eventually holed out off Rashid for a run a ball 38, Buttler could be heard celebrating loudly after Moeen Ali took the catch.
Earlier in the match, Buttler fell just six runs short of an 11th ODI century as he smashed an unbeaten 94 off 82 balls which included eight fours and three sixes. Harry Brook also impressed in just his second ODI with 80 off 75 balls.
Moeen Ali, meanwhile, scored his first ODI fifty in over five years and Sam Curran also chipped in with a quick-fire 28 off 17 balls at the death as England scored 342-7 in their innings.
