Customers signed up to one of Sky's broadband services are the latest to face higher bills. The price of the firm's Now packages is going up from this summer.
In a message to Now Broadband users, Sky's chief executive officer Stephen van Rooyen said their bills would be increasing by £3.50 per month. "We haven’t increased our prices since Now Broadband launched in 2018, but the costs of providing broadband services have increased significantly, and it is affecting the entire industry," he said.
"As you might know, many other providers are raising their prices, and we'll be making some changes from 5 July 2034. The prices of our broadband membership plans will be going up by £3.50.
"You'll see this price change reflected in your bill on or after 5 July. These changes won't affect any offers you have with us."
It comes after Sky put up prices for its main services in March, The Mirror reports. The company added around 8.1% to the monthly cost of broadband for nearly all of its customers.
Mr van Rooyen added: "If you are not happy with these changes you can cancel your Now Broadband Membership. If you’re within your minimum contract period, give us a call on 0330 041 2498 within 31 days of receiving the price increase notification to avoid early termination charges."

One way people could pay less - at least in the short term - would be to switch to one of Sky's main broadband plans. The firm is currently offering half-price discounts until the end of the year with prices starting from £17 per month.
