Khelo India Youth Games is not confined to winners and achievers. It’s a platform thrown open to aspiring athletes like Nawang Gyatso. The 16-year-old archer from Ladakh travelled more than 3500 kilometres just to witness what competition in his age group feels like.
From the cold, serene scenic surroundings of Kargyam Sato in Leh, Ladakh, to the hot humid chaotic Chennai, Nawang has had the experience at the start of his sporting journey. He successfully, and bravely, battled the Chennai weather but could not survive the heat of the competition in the elimination round of the Khelo India Youth Games 2023.
