Sixteen restaurants in Britain and Ireland win good value Michelin award for first time

The Michelin Guide, famous for awarding its illustrious stars, has announced the winners of this year's Bib Gourmand - an award given to restaurants offering fine cooking at good value prices.

The Great Britain and Ireland section had 16 new winners - with 11 from England, three from the Republic of Ireland and two from Scotland.

Bib Gourmands have been awarded to restaurants since 1997, with the price limit for a 'Bib' varying from country to country depending on the cost of living.

Here are the 16 places from the Great Britain and Ireland section that have won a Bib Gourmand for the first time.
