The Sydney Thunder will bat first after the Sydney Sixers won the toss for their BBL derby at Sydney Showground Stadium.
Both sides have made a couple of changes.
The Sixers have replaced Daniel Hughes with fellow batter Kurtis Patterson and called in another quick in Ben Dwarshuis for spinner Izharulhaq Naveed.
Thunder have called up Sam Whiteman for departed South African batter Rilee Rossouw and allrounder Daniel Sams is back in place of Joel Davies.
Three English players, the Thunder's Alex Hales and the Sixers' Chris Jordan and James Vince will all be playing their last BBL game of the season.
The Sixers are second on the table and will go first above Perth Scorchers with a win.
Third-placed Thunder have won four in a row and are one point behind the Sixers with a game in hand.
