A late-innings onslaught from Chloe Tryon has lifted the Sydney Sixers to their first win of the WBBL season, downing the Melbourne Renegades by six runs.
Staring down the barrel of an 0-4 start with another defeat, Tryon starred for the Sixers as she smashed 41 from 16 balls to help them to 7-164.
The Renegades then crumbled in reply, falling from 0-41 after four overs to be 9-158 at the end of their innings at Junction Oval.
The result leaves both teams at 1-3 after four games, with the Sixers in fifth spot and the Renegades in sixth on the ladder.
After Ellyse Perry (50) and Ashleigh Gardner (41) both fell midway through the innings, the Sixers looked unlikely to reach 150.
But when Josie Dooley missed a chance to stump Tyron in the penultimate over, the game swung.
Tryon then hit 29 off her next eight balls, including three consecutive sixes in the last over off Ella Hayward.
The biggest of those came down the ground, while another two were over the legside.
In response, the Renegades looked in the hunt when Tammy Beaumont hit Jess Kerr for three boundaries in the first over.
She also whipped Maitlan Brown for a big six off her pads, flying to 43 off 24 balls.
But when Brown had Hayley Matthews caught on a leading edge for 15 and bounced out Beaumont in the same over, the Renegades suffered a collapse of 7-51.
Only Sarah Coyte offered the Renegades a late hope batting at No.9, whacking 21 off 10 before perishing in the deep off Lauren Cheatle in the penultimate over.
With 12 needed from the final over, Ashleigh Gardner (2-36) bowled Georgia Wareham (30 off 21) and tied up Ella Hayward enough to claim the win.
Cheatle (2-23) and Brown (2-26) were both excellent with their four overs, while teenage wicketkeeper Kate Pelle also claimed a superb run out to remove Harmanpreet Kaur.
Filling in for the injured Alyssa Healy, Pelle removed a glove and threw down the stumps to remove the Indian superstar for eight as part of the collapse.
