An animal rescue centre has made an emotional appeal for someone to come forward and home one of its dogs who hasn't received a single application in almost four months. Many Tears Animal Rescue Centre, based in Cefneithin, Llanelli, say Ophelia, who is a six-year-old Cockapoo, is a "forgotten soul" and "one of the most overlooked dogs it cares for".
She has been there since January 6 this year, and the hard working volunteers who look after her say she is in "desperate need of a calm, secure home environment". Heartbreakingly, her response to seeing humans is to run away on sight. The rescue centre says she needs owners who can help her realise she does not need to do that anymore.
Ophelia will need to be rescued by owners who already have dogs, as she "relies massively on canine company". Get stories like this straight to your inbox with our newsletters.
