Six-year-old 'devastated' after losing sentimental cuddly toy on Skegness train

A six-year-old boy has been left 'devastated' after losing a sentimental cuddly toy on a train back from Skegness. The stuffed rabbit, which belonged to his late grandmother, was left on the 11.14am service to Nottingham on Tuesday, October 25.

"He's devastated, it used to be his nana's before she died in 2020. It comes on all his journeys," said Robyn Graves, mum to six-year-old Harvey. The pair were on their way back from visiting family in Skegness and changed at Grantham Station to make their way up to their home in Leeds.

But Ms Graves said the toy, named Nana Bear, was left in a JD bag on the first train which terminated in Nottingham. She told Nottinghamshire Live both Nottingham and Skegness stations said it had not been handed in to them.

"We didn't realise until we got back to Leeds. The other contents don't matter, I'm just hoping someone does the decent thing and hands it into a train station," the 25-year-old school worker said. "The only other things in it are some men's t-shirts, they can have the rest of the contents, we just want the bear."
