Six people are dead and one has been left injured after a stabbing at a kindergarten in China. Police say they have arrested a 25-year-old man after the incident in Guangdong province.
A teacher, two parents and three children are among the victims, reports the BBC. The attack happened at 7.40am local time - 11.40pm on Sunday in the UK. The man was arrested within 20 minutes.
There have been a number of knife attacks in schools in China. Last August three people were killed and six injured in a kindergarten in Jiangxi province. In April 2021 two children died in a stabbing in Beilu and in October 2018 14 children were hurt in a knife attack in Chogqing.
