Six people have been arrested after violence erupted outside a Dublin hotel housing asylum seekers, with police officers targeted by missiles and fireworks.
Gardai confirmed the arrests after an incident on Tuesday evening where a large crowd gathered at the Citywest Hotel and a police vehicle was set alight. Irish premier Micheal Martin condemned the scenes, stating there could be “no justification” for attacks on gardai.
