Two sisters who say they do "nearly everything together" have reached the semi-finals of Miss England - and insist they won't be competing against each other. Sepal Dawed, 26, and Huzan Dawed, 24, will both be vying for the beauty queen crown at the Taj Hotel in London in August.
But, despite being in the running for a top prize, the siblings say they "aren't competing" with one another. They will join around 40 women from across England who will compete in the final rounds of the competition.
The semi-final will see the sisters, from London, take part in an interview with judges before walking down a catwalk wearing ballgowns. Student midwife Sepal gained her place by finishing as the second runner up in the Miss London competition.
And Huzan, a beauty therapist, entered via Miss England's virtual heat app. Huzan said: "We have worked together, done the same course together, went to the same schools together we have done nearly everything together.
"I am beyond excited to be in Miss England with my sister Sepal as well." Sepal added: "Huzan and I aren’t competing with each other we are in this together and I am super excited to be in this contest with having my sister by my side."
The semi-final takes place on August 22, with the national final, sponsored by Dentakay, taking place in Coventry on October 17. You can see a full list of semi-finalists here: https://www.missengland.info/qualifiers/semi-final/
