Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi made on Tuesday a one-day visit to Kuwait where he met with Emir Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber Al Sabah.

Sisi also held talks with Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal al-Ahmad al-Jaber Al Sabah and Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah al-Khaled al-Hamad Al Sabah.

He affirmed that the security and stability of his country, Kuwait and all GCC states are indivisible.

Sisi and the Emir held cordial talks that reflected the deep historic ties that bring both countries and peoples together, and discussed means of bolstering and developing them in all fields.

Talks further touched on various regional and international issues of common interest and ways to promote cooperation to serve mutual interests.

Presidential spokesman Ambassador Bassam Rady said Sisi underscored his pride in the deep and strong bilateral strategic relations.

Egypt is keen to strengthen and diversify joint bilateral cooperation and explore mechanisms to advance them to broader horizons in various political, security, economic and trade fields, Rady quoted Sisi as saying.

The President also commended the existing level of coordination and common views on issues of mutual interest, as well as both countries’ keenness to bolster joint Arab action in a way that contributes to addressing the multiple challenges facing the Arab nation.

Discussions tackled the current efforts to combat terrorism and extremist ideology and spread a culture of tolerance and moderation in the region, Rady said.

He pointed out that Sisi and the Kuwaiti Emir agreed to continue coordination to address various regional challenges to achieve the aspirations of the peoples to live in a peaceful and stable environment.
