Sir Mick Jagger revealed he missed an opportunity to meet Elvis Presley.
He followed John Lennon's advice, who told him “you should never meet your heroes”.
Lennon and his bandmates had previously met Elvis but were left disappointed by the experience.
Sir Mick explained he wanted to preserve his own idealised version of Elvis, fearing it would be shattered like Lennon's.
He now considers taking Lennon's advice “stupid” and wishes he had met the King of Rock and Roll.
