Sir Alex Ferguson spotted at top-of-the-table Celtic vs Aberdeen clash

Sir Alex Ferguson is in the stands at Celtic Park for the Scottish Premiership fixture between Celtic and Aberdeen.

The legendary manager is in Glasgow to watch former club Aberdeen take on Brendan Rodgers' side.

Ferguson is an icon at Aberdeen having led the club to three Scottish Premier Division titles, four Scottish Cups and one League Cup in domestic competition.

The manager also led the club to an incredible European Cup Winners' Cup triumph in 1983 before lifting the European Super Cup.

Ferguson - who also managed St Mirren - would then go on to achieve major success down south at Manchester United as he etched his name in the history books as one of the greatest ever managers.

The Govan-born football icon - who played for Dunfermline, Falkirk and Rangers during his playing career - is now back in Scotland to watch new Aberdeen boss Jimmy Thelin try and emulate his success in the dugout.

Thelin has yet to taste defeat at Aberdeen since being appointed in the summer with a flawless record in all competitions ahead of the trip to Glasgow.
