Sir Alex Ferguson has previously warned Erik ten Hag what he can expect from Antonio Conte as his Tottenham Hotspur side aim to build on last season's strong finish.
Spurs have made some wise additions to their squad ahead of the new season including the acquisitions of Ivan Perisic, Yves Bissouma and Richarlison. Coupled with the fact they've managed to keep hold of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min, and the north London side look like they will be tricky opponents for United.
In Conte they have a manager who has been there and done it. The Italian has plenty of admirers including Ferguson, who spoke highly of the 52-year-old back in 2017.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Ferguson said: "Fantastic, you see his energy on the pitch. There's a true saying that the team mirrors the manager, and that's what they've done with him.
"His team have stayed top of the league for so long. They lost to Arsenal and Liverpool early on, but since then they've been up."
His comments came while Conte was manager of Chelsea. He would lift the Premier League title that season before moving to Serie A and gaining success with Inter Milan.
