Drumchapel Amateurs have reached out to their legendary list of Hall of Famers as they hope to roll out the red carpet for their Scottish Amateur Cup final at Hampden.
One of Scottish football's best known breeding grounds for talent, the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson, David Moyes and Archie Gemmill have all passed through at Glenhead Park.
With their 70th anniversary coming up, they are getting set to take on Tollcross Thistle on Wednesday, April 20th, in a huge clash that also marks the 100th anniversary of Amateur football in Scotland.
Drumchapel are one of the most successful nursery clubs Scottish football history and vice chairman Jim Wood has been helping track down their former players to invite them along to the final.
And while they're still waiting to hear back on who can make it, Wood is looking forward to a huge day in the club's history when they look to lift the trophy for only the second time ever.
Wood said: "It's going to be a great day at Hampden. It's our 70th anniversary and it's the 100th anniversary of amateur football in Scotland.
"We've reached out to all of our former players - like Alex Ferguson, David Moyes at West Ham, and Nicky Devlin who coaches with us - to invite them along."
Wood, 83, has been with the club since 1954 when he ran out as a player at 14 years old.
He's had a front row seat for virtually all of their history and seen some of Scottish football's biggest names pass through.
Drumchampel been on the go for so long that many of those to pull on the shirt, such as legendary Rangers and Scotland manager Walter Smith, have passed away.
And Wood, who has been there and done it all on the amateur scene, displayed some signature Scottish gallows humour as he joked that's presented a challenge for 'The Drum' in inviting their red carpet alumni along.
He's hoping to see some of the famous faces from the club's long history at the game in two weeks' time.
"The problem is finding the ones who are still alive as we've been on the go for so long!", he remarked. "But we're hoping to see some familiar faces at Hampden."
The final between Tolcross Thistle and Drumchapel Amateurs kicks off at Hampden Park at 7.30pm on Wednesday, April 20th.
