Sinn Fein has formally announced its list of Derry candidates for next month's election as it seeks to become the largest party on the council.
A total of 12 candidates are being put forward, spread across the five electoral areas in Derry.
At the last election, Sinn Fein secured seven seats on the Derry and Strabane council from the same five city districts.

At present, Sinn Fein and the SDLP have a total of 11 seats across the Derry City and Strabane Council.
The seven seats Sinn Fein won in Derry in 2019 were bolstered by another four from the Derg and Sperrin areas in Strabane, whereas the SDLP claimed nine in the city and two in Strabane.
Sinn Fein Foyle MLA Padraig Delargy, speaking after the party formally announced its candidates for the May 18 election in Derry, said: “Sinn Féin are 12 running candidates across every area of the city to increase our representation on the local council and to continue transforming the city and ensuring we have first-class council services."
He added: “Now more than ever, our people and communities deserve positive and progressive leadership, and Sinn Féin is determined to work with others to deliver real change and make politics work for all."
Sinn Féin’s candidates for the Moor ward are Aisling Hutton, Patricia Logue, and Emma McGinley.
In Foyleside, Conor Heaney and Grace Uí Niallais are the candidates and in the Waterside it is Caitlin Deeney and Christopher Jackson.
In Faughan, Alex Duffy and Sean Fleming stand and in Ballyarnett there are three Sinn Fein candidates - Sandra Duffy, John McGowan and Pat Murphy.
